I have been absent from this blog. In fact, I haven’t been writing much at all. No submissions to other publications, no journals, no new blog posts, nothing. First of all, I wanted to post on here to say, “I am alive” and have a new format on my sight.
If you are curious, I have had family problems that (un)consensually became public knowledge, and have felt like the only people looking at me are the ones who are judging me. In the past two months, I have had a few life changes. I have a new job, new apartment in a different town, and have new people in my life. Everything came quickly. I have had changes and these changes were healthy for my circumstances.
First of all, I want to thank everyone who has shown nothing but love and understanding. Those who have listened, reached out of love and have opened your homes to my boyfriend and I for holiday meals. The clients and friends who sent me messages out of concern, and the friends who have asked in a genuine way “Are you ok?” YOU guys are the BEST, and I am grateful for you.
To those who haven’t been as understanding, well it isn’t your life. Everyone who has said that I have, “Ruined my reputation as a Christian model” I dare to differ. Everyone who has told me they are praying for me (in a negative, Christian gossip kind of way), thank you. To everyone who has blocked me on social media, you are going to have a difficult time living if you “block” everything in life that you consider sinful or simply disagree with.
I have gained more lessons then I could even count while walking in this season, and they are the following:

- Be slow to judge, you truly don’t know what someone is going through
- The only person who knows what is right for yourself is YOU
- Drink more water
- You don’t have to deal with BS, be brave and deal with it yourself.
- It’s not too late for new beginnings
- Smile at the haters
- Don’t let others tell you where your standing with God is
